Musical Theatre

Sarah has been an active participant in the Chester County and Wilmington musical theatre scene since April, 2015. Below is a comprehensive list of all the shows Sarah has performed in, both on bass and cello. Her favorite show she has played is Hadestown.

Active Projects

  • This fun folk/Americana band performs all over Chester County. Sarah is the bassist for this band, and is joined by Cori Trice (vocals/guitar), Steve Trice (vocals/guitar), Janet Benz (fiddle), and Erik Knelton. This band has played at Pocopson’s Founder’s Day, West Chester’s Restaurant Festival, and Ludwig’s Grill and Oyster Bar.

  • This blues band primarily performs in the summer months at Ludwig’s Grill and Oyster Bar. Sarah is joined by Dave Renz (saxophone), Walter Runge (keys), Neil Taylor (vocals/guitar), and Erik Knelton (drums).

  • This band is a quartet that likes to put jazzy twists on well known songs, ranging from Aretha Franklin to Guns N’ Roses. This band is made up of Sarah Renz (bass), Haley Harner (vocals), Gary Houk (keys), and Erik Knelton (drums).

  • Sarah also acts as a substitute bassist for Tex Wyndham’s Red Lion Band. This band is a Dixieland band, and Tex is a nationally renowned Dixieland revivalist.
